After experimenting with a number of shopping list apps, I find Mighty Grocery to meet most of my needs. One request: When in the “Pick” list, is there any way to have all the categories automatically expanded so you can just zip through list making selections rather than having to open each category first? While I rely on the category breakdowns while I’m in the store shopping, they don’t mean much to me when I’m checking off my “need” list. Also anxiously awaiting an iPad version of the app, since my iPad is always on my kitchen counter and is the fastest/easiest way for me to keep track of my pantry items. Thanks so much for your consideration and regular support for the app!
Unfortunately, there is no way to expand all aisles in Pick list. However, you may want to add all your items to Favorites list which is always expanded. Please see Favorites User’s Guide for more details.
Hi Tina, thanks a lot for your feedback. The new website is a work in progress and hopefully the new recipes UI will be available eventually. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Hi, I’ve tried a lot of list apps and I can say that Mighty Grocery is the best.
Just a couple of questions, though.
1. Is there a way to export a list into CSV or other format? and conversely to import a list from a text file? I have lists on my PC that I need to move to Mighty Grocery’s database. The PC sync through MyMIghtyGrocery helps but is too tedious as you’d have to enter items one by one.
2. I read somewhere that a feature to allow adding pictures to items in the lists is planned. This will be a very useful feature and I briefly tried another grocery app just because it had this feature (but the app was bad in the other features). Is there any news on this?
1. You can import products from CSV (see Configure Pick list) but unfortunately there is no way to export CSV from the app. This feature is planned.
2. Adding photos to items is planned too. Unfortunately, no timeline yet.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or comments.
Until recently I had all my products specifications in the title field (ie. Tide: 32 loads, 1.4L) and I would input the ‘total’ price which would show in the favorites view for easy reference while shopping. It occured to me though that I could eliminate some of the descriptions in the title if I inputed the volume of products in the quantitiy and unit field. I did this to like 50 items and then realized that all the prices became per unit in the aisles view (a 6 box pack of rice krispies started showing for like $24. lol) . I tried undoing everything but only half went back to their original way Is there a way to have the faorites list show total price instead of unit price in teh side column? If not, is there an easy way to undo eveything without having to retype all the descriptions in each and every title?
Also, can you add metres to the unit option (aluminum foil).
Thanks for the amazing product. I’m always excited to see upgrades!!
Kindly note that you can restore your database to the previous state if you created a backup beforehand. The app shows total price in the side column, but unfortunately there is no way to show unit price. The best place to keep packaging information is Details field which is accessible after long-tapping the Name field.
As for changing unit options, you can add any unit you like under Menu –> Settings –> Units. Please see Options User’s Guide for more details.
Thanks again and please let me know if you have any further questions or comments.
Hi – love the app! Very helpful sync abilities, and pretty easy to use. I really like the ability of the online MyMightyGrovery site where I can edit or add to either shopping or favorites lists. One thing I would like to see for the website editor, is to be able to edit multiple items at once without having to hit save each time. It would save a HUGE amount of time
Right now assigning aisles is a one-by-one endeavor. Click on the item, choose aisle, hit save. Since we can expand multiple items in the list, it would save a lot of time and minor frustration if we could edit multiple items at once, and have the save work against all items.
Is this something being looked at for a future update?
Hi Caryn, thanks for your feedback and suggestion! Ability for editing multiple items online is planned, but unfortunately it may take a while before it becomes available. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
Hi
Something for someone living on their own – a list for a recipe.
Not sure how you would do it, but for instance, you see a recipe, note all the ingredients, and dash into a shop and just get those marked for the recipe. Then maybe save the recipe for next time.
Your product is great – small favour, it does not do the cooking or washing up yet?
Kindly note that you can add you can add recipes at Recipe tab and then add items to shopping list when you go shopping. Please see Recipe User’s Guide for more details.
Cooking and washing will be possible when dishwashers and cookers have Android onboard. Looking forward to it!
hello,
I ‘m french,…. excuse my poor english !
I’m looking for a shopping list
for me , its very important to know the best price into some stores :
ex: how much for kellog’s corn flake in “Carrefour”, “Auchan”, “Intermarché”,…
can you compare the price in differents stores?
Ps: for one item, can I enter manually the price in 2 or 3 stores and get the best buy in this stores ?
Hi Patrick, thanks for your question. Yes, it is possible to compare prices between shopping lists. Please see the Price compare User’s Guide for more details. Kindly note that price information must be entered manually.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Let me start by saying I love Mighty Grocery. I chose it from the list on the market over quite a few other ones for its features and im very happy save 1 thing. I purchased 2 copies 1 for my phone and 1 for my wife’s planning to use both on 1 account/ mirror images. Everything about the stores that exists sync up fine. But if either 1 of us add a store we have to go into accounts and push a lot of buttons. For me this is fine. For my wife it has caused me a headache. Is there a way to sync everything seamlessly? Did i just miss it?
Unfortunately, you need to push and pull shopping list manually for now. We are planning to allow automatic push/pull going forward. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you again.
The only way I am able to “sync” my tablet w/my phone is doing it thru backup on cloud.
On my computer many venues (CVS & CVS, Harris Teeter & Harris Teeter, etc) are listed twice. I’m unable to find a way to delete them on my computer. I’m VERY nervous about doing anything on cloud trying to recreate the correct list on my computer because I have worked for 4+ weeks on my shopping favorites. I LOVE Mighty Grocery, but things still aren’t automatically syncing between phone & tablet (the little window comes up saying it’s syncing, but that’s just not happening). As I’ve said, I’ve created a “way” to get them together…but it’s not by syncing.
Unfortunately, there is no way to delete lists using the website. To sync your shopping lists on your handsets, I’d recommend the following: delete duplicated lists from cloud, push lists again from primary device, and pull lists on secondary device:
1. Delete all duplicated lists from cloud: Menu –> Settings –> Accounts –> (your account) –> Cloud actions –> Delete lists –> (select lists to delete) –> Delete lists.
2. Push lists from your primary handset: under your account –> Cloud actions –> Push lists –> (select lists) –> Push lists.
3. Pull lists on your secondary handset: under your account –> Cloud actions –> Pull lists –> (select lists) –> Pull lists.
4. To make sure that you don’t have duplicated lists on cloud, go to My Mighty Grocery (http://my.mightygrocery.com) website and use your email (or Account ID) and password to login to your account online.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
I added an aisle (cosmetics) in the settings. It won’t display in my major favorites list (“Groceries”).
It’s not under my pick list…not in my favorites list, but in settings/aisles it is listed under “Groceries” or if I change to “any list”…it’s there also. I’ve tried to see if for some reason it’s hidden, but can’t figure it out.
I’ve deleted it…specifically followed instructions step by step from you website…but still doesn’t appear in my favorites list.
Please advise.
Thanks!
Kindly note that you need to add at least one item to the new aisle in order it becomes visible. Just open the Favorites tab, add any item, and change its aisle to “Cosmetics”.

First of all I love your program; it is the only one I considered spending money on. Every feature is excellent!
When will the recipe feature be added to the website? It would make creating the lists so much easier if the recipes could be done on a computer.
Thanks,
Tina
