I love, love, love MG!!! I had some health problems a couple years ago and I now have problems with short term memory. MG has been a God send. In California we have CRV tax. This is an additional tax to encourage recycling. It is placed on plastic and glass containers. Is there already a way to add this? If not, could you add a way to add this “special” tax? Thank you again for your product.
Teresa, thank you so much for your feedback. We may consider adding CRV tax going forward. In the meantime you may want to try using “Coupon/Discount” field and enter negative value to reflect CRV.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or comments.
Hi Alex. I frequently add the same item on different store lists as alternatives to buy from, in case one store seems too costly, they don’t have an item in stock or I happen to be at one of the stores at the time. This way I have flexibility as to where and when I can buy it. The app doesn’t tell me that the item resides in other lists when I buy it from one store and it may accidentally get purchased twice. How can I control an item like this so that once it is purchased I have the opportunity to remove it from the other lists? Thanks. – Lyndon
Hi, LOVE your app! It’s the bomb-dot-com and all that and a bag of chips! That being said, the only issue I am having is not having all the features that are available in the app being available online. I love the ease of creating my lists online, but I find that many things I can do in the app (delete entire lists, edit recipes, etc) I can’t do online. Is there something I’m not doing or will this feature be available in the future. Thanks!
I would like to suggest a change to your program. Currently there is a reminder to update that come on when you open the program. I would like to suggest that the reminder come on when you are about to close the program.
When the reminder comes in on open, it takes several minutes to update. Sometimes at the conclusion of the time I forget to add to the list the item that I opened the program up for. Or I’m running into the store for a few quick items and don’t have time for the update. If the update request came on closing, it would not interrupt the natural flow of using the program and it would not be dismissed as often because of lack of time.
Hi Pia, thanks for your feedback. I assume it’s backup reminder which makes the trouble. In the new update there’s going to be no reminders as backup will be created much quicker and without blocking interactions with the app. Stay tuned for the new update announcement.
I LOVE MG! This is a type-A personality’s dream! This is what I want to do, but I don’t know if I need to use the Master List, Pick List, or List Specific feature. I’ve read through all the options, but my brain isn’t quite getting around the concept of each feature. So I’d thought I’d ask an expert.
Here’s what I want to do:
Make a “master list” of my entire house.
I like to go through sections of my house (kid’s bathroom, master bath, baking cabinet, utility items, laundry room etc….) and make a list of what I need to purchase. I guess it’s like a pantry list for my entire house. I don’t need specific stores.
Would this be better with a Master List, List-Specific or Favorites? Or Pick List?
The best match for your needs is Pantry Manager feature which is expected to be available soon. For now you may want to try using Recipe feature where each recipe will be a section of your house. Hopefully this helps.
Please let me know if you have any further comments or questions.
I was shopping with mightyshopper program and the plus sign disappeared when I started to add an item to my list. How can I get it back. It isn’t anywhere anymore Thsnks
Paheuer, just open side bar (button on the upper-right side –> Show sidebar) and long-tap Plus button to move it back to the toolbar. Please let me know if you have any further questions or comments.
Can you make the tax automatic for all items but have an uncheck box if you don’t want it to be taxed? Right now it’s the other way around. It’s a pain to add the tax to each item. Most everything is taxed, so why wouldn’t you make it automatic?
Other than that and the pantry list missing, this app is nice.
Erin, you can use “Set as default” option when you tap Tax field for an item. Once set, all new items will be getting this tax rate by default and you can clear tax rate for items which have no taxes.
Hi Arnel, thank you for your question. Could you please provide more details about items you’d like to delete? At least I need a tab under which you can see the items. Just a quick suggestion: if you’d like to remove items shipped with the app, just go to Menu –> Settings –> Pick list –> Predefined catalog –> Actions –> Delete presets. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
When in Pick list, is there a way for the default list to appear without items pre-checked? It seems more natural to manually check what I need, rather than un-check what I don’t need. I hope this makes sense! Thanks again!
Debbie, kindly note that record in the Pick list is checked when it has been added to your shopping list. If you remove all items from your shopping list, non of the records in Pick list would be checked.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or comments.

Lyndon, thanks for your feedback. We plan to allow removing items from other lists on checkout in one of the following updates.

April, thanks a lot for your feedback. We plan on making app features to be available online. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for your feedback!
The taxes will not show up at the bottom on the totals list. HELP!!
Erin, as you might’ve already discovered, you need to set Tax for each individual item.
hi. would like to know on “how to remove the item(s) (e.g. milk, sugar) permanently on my account.
thank you.
